Two people are easily able to generate 2hp which will move them through the water at a very nippy 11kph.
With such great efficiency the Treddlecat can carry up to half a ton, a family or six adults, which is far greater than any other pedal craft, and opens up whole new markets.
The catamaran design of twin sealed hulls are three times more efficient when cutting through the water and also add to the safety of the craft which is virtually impossible to capsize or sink.

The Treddlecat is easy to handle and highly manoeuvrable on both water and land as the beach wheels are integrated in to the auto-retracting propulsion assembly.
The unique Treddlecat propulsion system makes it a far better proposition for the traditional pedal boat markets such as Local Councils (on rivers or park lakes), beach- and lake-front Hotels, as well as Recreational Companies. Treddlecat offers them more speed, a higher level of safety, the ability to carry up to six adults and, with less moving parts, far easier maintenance.
Because Treddlecat can travel faster, offer greater stability, cause less turbulence and transport a heavier load we foresee this design will also appeal to anglers, boaties and holiday home owners throughout the world. It will provide them with a handy ‘runabout’ that takes less effort, doesn’t require rowing skills, costs nothing to run and is a ‘greener’ option than an outboard motor. It could also be considered a fun exercising machine.
